The mission of the Integration and Trade Sector (INT) of the IDB is to support the regional and global integration agenda of Latin America and the Caribbean, particularly helping countries to benefit from trade and open investment regimes and regional cooperation and integration policies.
Trade facilitation looks at how procedures and controls governing the movement of goods across national borders can be improved to reduce associated cost burdens and maximize efficiency while safeguarding legitimate regulatory objectives.
This community of practice is focused on bringing international best practices and subject matter experts to engage the community members in discussions and webinars around subjects such as Electronic Single Window, Risk Management, Border Compliance and Border Control Integration.
